If use of the external message catalog is required, correct the indicated error. There are several reasons that could cause this error, such as file or directory permissions not allowing read access. See the z/OS XL C/C++ Runtime Library Reference for more information about the catopen() function call. Information regarding the NLSPATH environment variable can be found in the z/OS UNIX System Services Programming Tools. If the default messages are acceptable, no action is necessary.
