To define the contents of this area:
- From the ISPF Status action bar, select Options and then 3. User
status customization. The User View Customization panel, Figure 1, is displayed.

- Enter a heading in the Description field and the name of a System
variable or site-defined variable in the Variable name field. See
the z/OS ISPF Dialog Developer's Guide and Reference for
a list of System Variable names.
- Press EXIT (F3) or END to exit and save the changes. Press CANCEL
(F12) to exit without saving the changes.
For example, entering:
Description: Variable name:
User ID: ZUSER
Date: ZDATE
Time: ZTIME
would result in the display
shown in
Figure 1.
