B—browse regular file

z/OS ISPF User's Guide Vol II
SC19-3628-00

The B (browse) line command can be entered against a regular file or directory. The ISPF browse function is invoked, allowing you to view the data in the file.

If you enter the B line command beside a directory a directory list is displayed allowing you to select a regular file to browse.

A numeric record length can also be specified as an option with the B line command for a regular file. This option allows you to browse fixed-length record files containing text or binary data without new line delimiters.
