Using the X (Exclude) line command with FIND and CHANGE z/OS ISPF Edit and Edit Macros SC19-3621-00 |

You can use the X (exclude) line command with FIND and CHANGE to
display only those lines containing the search string or those lines
that have been changed. For example, if your data set contains
99␠999 lines or less, type X99999 in the line
command field of the first line to exclude all of the lines from the
display. Then enter a CHANGE command, such as:
All lines containing the search string XYZ are redisplayed
with XYZ changed to ABC and with the cursor at
the end of the first string changed.Similarly, you can enter a FIND command:
Here, all lines containing the search string XYZ are
redisplayed with the cursor at the beginning of the first string found. |
