Use the ANSI X9.17 EDC generate callable service to generate an error detection code (EDC) on a text string. The service calculates the EDC by by using a key value of X'0123456789ABCDEF' to generate a MAC on the specified text string, as defined by the ANSI X9.17 standard. Restriction: This service is only supported
on an IBM The callable service name for AMODE(64) invocation is CSNGEGN.
