Working in MVS™: Use the pax or the tar shell command to restore the directory or file system from the archive file; all the component files are restored from the archive file. If you need to convert the source to the code page IBM-1047 used in the z/OS® shell, use the pax command with the -o option. See Backing up and restoring files: options for more information.
