This publication contains additions and changes to information previously presented in PSF for z/OS: Download for z/OS, S550-0429-04.

General changes

References to these products have been removed because the releases are no longer in service:
- PSF Version 4 Release 2 for z/OS
- z/OS Version 1 Release 11.0
References to z/OS Version 2 Release 1.0 (Program Number 5650-ZOS) have been added.
References to “InfoPrint ProcessDirector" have been changed to the product’s new name “Ricoh ProcessDirector".

New information

Highlights has been updated with information about Mixed Object Document Content Architecture (MO:DCA) Interchange System/3 (IS/3) data stream support.
Enabling Download for z/OS in the SYS1.PARMLIB member has been added for enabling Download for z/OS.

Changed information

Minimum storage requirements for FSSs and FSAs have been updated in Table 3.
Information that Download for z/OS supports IPv4 and IPv6 has been added to Considerations for configuring TCP/IP.
The CHARS and FCB default values for the JES3 initialization statement parameter PDEFAULT have been updated to indicate that the PRINTDEV value for CHARS or PAGEDEF is used when WS=U or WS=C is specified on the DEVICE statement. Also, JES3 WS parameter has been updated.
A reference has been added to JCL PARM parameter to refer to PSF for z/OS: Diagnosis for more trace options.
GETHOSTBYNAME has been removed from the list of pending commands in Table 9 while FREEADDRINFO, GETADDRINFO, and PTON have been added.
Understanding data stream support has been updated with information about MO:DCA IS/3 and descriptions of each data stream.
COLORMAP and COMSETUP JCL parameters have been added to Table 10, Figure 16, COLORMAP, and COMSETUP.
A block size recommendation has been added to Allocating a PSF trace data set and Allocating an FSS trace data set.
Checklist of Download for z/OS configuration tasks has been updated with the task to enable Download for z/OS in the SYS1.PARMLIB member.

Deleted information

OnDemand differences have been removed in Table 1.
Statements that Download for z/OS ignores or does not support the COMSETUP parameter have been removed in Printing parameters not transmitted and Examples.
