Abbreviations

The attributes listed in this section show attribute names and values in their complete form. Often, you can abbreviate attribute names and values by using the first letter of each word in the name or value. For example, you can use the abbreviation f-d for the form-definition attribute.

Sometimes specifying only the first letter in each word is ambiguous. For example, c might stand for chars or compression. Here, specify enough of the name so that it is unique, as in ch or co. If the values are ambiguous, PIDU rejects the command with an error message.
