Planning FSA definitions

An FSA definition contains information about functional subsystem applications (FSAs) defined to JES. You can define these types of FSA definitions:

  • IP PrintWay™ basic mode FSA definition. IP PrintWay uses the information in this definition when the FSA starts.
  • PSF FSA definition. PSF uses the information in this definition when the FSA starts.

You can use the Infoprint Server ISPF panels to create and manage FSA definitions. ISPF panel for an IP PrintWay FSA definition shows the panel that you use to create an FSS definition. For information about how to use the ISPF panels, see Managing FSA definitions. You can also use the Printer Inventory Definition Utility (PIDU) to create FSS definitions. For information, see Using the PIDU program to manage the Printer Inventory.

Note:
You must also define each IP PrintWay basic mode and PSF FSA to JES. The FSA definition in the Printer Inventory does not replace the JES definition.
