Testing a printer definition

The ISPF panels check the validity of many of the values you specify in the fields of a printer definition. However, to check the validity of all fields (for example, to verify the IP address of the remote printer) print a file to the printer named in the printer definition. If IP PrintWay finds an error, it sends a message to the IP PrintWay message log. If NetSpool finds an error, it sends a message to the NetSpool message log if one exists.

If you have configured data transforms, print data of each format to the printer definition.
