Editing the system configuration definition

To edit the system configuration definition:

  1. On the Infoprint Server Printer Inventory Manager ISPF panel, select 8 System and press Enter. Option 8 is visible only if dynamic configuration is enabled. If you have authority to edit the system configuration definition, the Infoprint Server System Configuration panel is displayed in Edit mode. Otherwise, the panel is displayed in Browse mode.

  2. On the Infoprint Server System Configuration panel:
    1. Fill in any of the editable fields on the panel. To display help information about each field, place the cursor on the value area of the field and press the HELP function key.
    2. (Optional) To validate the fields before you save the panel, press Enter.
    3. Save the changes to the system configuration definition. Do one of these:
      • To save the changes but keep the panel on the screen, type SAVE on the command line and press Enter.
      • To save the changes and exit the panel, press the END function key.
      • To exit the panel without saving the changes, type CANCEL on the command line and press Enter.
Changes to the system configuration definition take effect as soon as you save them with a few exceptions. The help information for each field says whether you need to restart any Infoprint Server daemons before the change can take effect.
