Setting the ISPF trace on and off

You can set the trace option on or off at any time during an ISPF session. To set the trace option on or off:

1. On the Infoprint Server: Printer Inventory Manager panel:
   1. Type 7 on the option line to select 7 Configure.
   2. Press Enter.

2. On the Configuration panel:
   1. Select (with a slash [/]) or deselect the Trace Printer Inventory ISPF internals field.
   2. Specify the fully qualified name of an existing directory. To return to the default directory, clear the ISPF trace directory field.
   3. To save the trace option and name of the directory, and exit the panel, press the END function key or enter END on the command line.
   4. To save the trace options without closing the panel, press Enter.
   5. To close the panel without saving the trace options, enter CANCEL on the command line.

3. Be sure to turn tracing off when you are done. Tracing remains on during your next Infoprint Server ISPF session unless you turn tracing off.
