Cost Management application

You use the Cost Management application, with an external project costing system, to track project costs and manage budgets more effectively. By creating a project in the Cost Management application and linking work orders to that project in the Work Order Tracking application, you can generate project cost information to track the financial resources required to complete the project.

The Cost Management application supports the integration of the enterprise application management system and Oracle® Projects applications. If the Adapter for the Oracle® application is installed and the projects interface is activated, the Cost Management application can retain projects, tasks, and cost summary information from Oracle® Projects.

Deleting cost management projects

In the Cost Management application, you use the Delete Project action to delete projects that are not parents to other projects. To delete a parent project, you must clear the Parent Project field for the child projects or delete the child projects.

Similarly, you can delete a task that has no child tasks.
