New work management actions in inspections

Enhancements to the Inspections tools include changes that facilitate work management in the Inspection tools.

Create a work order from inspection results

After an inspection form is complete, you can create a work order in the inspection result. This work order is automatically added to the Work Execution Work Center and is associated with the asset or location that is associated with the inspection result.

View and record details of inspection forms

In the Manage Inspection Forms tool, you can preview an inspection form. You can select an inspection form card to access the Revision History view. In the Revision History review, you can review all revisions of a form, create new revisions of a form, and provide the reason for the revision.

You can also specify a type for the inspection form, such as condition assessment or investigation, to indicate the goal of the inspection.

You can access more information about an inspection form and the related work order in the card for the inspection form, such as the status, work order number, and the scheduled start and end dates of the work.

Associate inspections with job plans and job tasks

In the Job Plans application, you can associate an active inspection form with job plans and job tasks.

View related inspection forms in the Work Centers

In the Work Supervision and Work Execution tools, you can view inspections that are related to the work order.

Complete questions in inspection forms by using attachments or meters

In addition to all previously allowable values, you can now use attachments or meters as a response type for questions in an inspection form.

Create and complete inspections in the Assets, Locations, and Work Order Tracking applications

In the View Work Details dialog box and in the Inspections table, you can view related inspection forms. In the Inspection Form field, you can conduct an inspection or view inspection results if the specified form is complete.

In the Assets and Locations applications, you can select the Create > Unscheduled Inspections action to create unscheduled inspections.

In the Work Order Tracking application, when you specify an inspection form or job plan that has a related inspection form, an inspection result record is automatically created for the pending transaction and added to the Pending tab in the Conduct an Inspection tool. If you duplicate the work order, a second corresponding inspection result record is created.
