Integrating Sametime with Connections
Integrate IBM® Sametime® servers such as the Sametime Advanced Server and the Sametime Meeting Server with IBM Connections.
- Considerations for integrating Sametime with Connections
Starting with version 5, IBM Connections supports an External Collaboration feature that allows users to invite people from outside the organization to participate in meetings and share files. Sametime 9 does not fully support this feature and you should be aware of the following security and performance considerations when integrating IBM Sametime with Connections 5. - Integrating Sametime Advanced Server with Connections
You can integrate your IBM Connections communities into IBM Sametime Advanced Server. Integrating Connections with Sametime Advanced Server provides users with a unified list of Connections communities and broadcast communities on the Broadcast Communities tab in Sametime Advanced Server. - Configuring the Sametime Meeting Server for Connections Files integration
You can configure the IBM Sametime Meeting Server to enable web and mobile meeting participants to share files stored in the My Files directory on an IBM Connections server. To configure integration, you must have a Connections server version 4.5IFR CR2 installed, and a Sametime Meeting Server version 9.0 or later. You also need the Files Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) API installed on the Connections server. - Deploying Connections community widgets for Sametime
There are two IBM Connections community widgets forSametime, the Meeting Rooms Widget and the Chat Rooms Widget.
