Configuring a single Gateway Server for SIP INVITE Session Description Protocol

Configure a stand-alone IBM® Sametime® Gateway Server so that a SIP Proxy Server can communicate with another server that uses SDP (Session Description Protocol).

About this task

Define a custom property to map the Gateway Server's fully qualified DNS Name (FQDN) for SIP INVITE SDP.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the WebSphere® Integrated Services Console as a Sametime Gateway administrator.
  2. Click Servers > Server types > WebSphere application servers.
  3. In the list of WebSphere Application Servers, click RTCGWServer.
  4. In the "Server Infrastructure" section, click Administration, and then click Custom properties.
  5. Click New and enter information for the new custom property:
  6. In the Name field, enter com.ibm.sametime.gateway.sdp.ip.
  7. In the Value field, enter the external IP address of the Sametime Gateway Server. Enter a description if desired.
  8. Click OK, and then click Save in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
  9. Restart the Sametime Gateway Server.
