IBM PEM Portal overview

IBM® PEM Portal (PEM Portal) is an software as a service (SaaS) engagement system that enables faster onboarding, collaboration, interaction, monitoring, and visibility of activity flows between an enterprise and their partners, customers, and suppliers.

PEM Portal provides features that support a sponsor company’s efforts to onboard and manage their partner community that includes:
  • An activity framework that includes standard activities to onboard, manage, and interact with their trading partners.
  • The ability to create their own activities and also roll out the activities to their partners or clients, with visibility into the status of an activity from start to completion.
  • An organizational framework that allows a sponsor company to assign attributes to partners and organize those partners into different groups based on the criteria such as region, industry, protocols, products delivered, and many others.
  • A REST API infrastructure that allows a sponsor to send and receive partner information into sponsor REST API capable backend systems.

After the sponsor sets up the activity, it can be rolled out to all partners or only to selected partners. The sponsor has visibility into the status of the activity for all business partners.

Note: The terms ’business partner’ and ’partner’ refers to companies that do business with the Sponsor company. These terms do not refer to businesses in the IBM Business Partner program.
