Defining variables

This section describes how to complete the "Define variables" option that is in all of the main tasks.

1. On the main Customization Dialog panel for the task you are performing, type 2 in the Option field to select "Define variables".
2. Press Enter. The following screen displays:

    Configure a base portal into a base node                                 
                                                                             
      Specify a number and press ENTER to define the WebSphere Portal        
      variables. You should review all of the variables in each of the       
      sections, even if you are using all of the IBM-supplied defaults.      
      Once you complete all sections, press PF3 to return to the main menu.

   Note: This example is from the "Configure a base portal into a base node" option, but the steps are relatively the same regardless of which option you choose.
