Managing server processes on the legacy platform

Users with the Developer role can start and stop agent and integration servers manually or you can schedule the servers to start or stop at a prescribed time. You can also trigger the agent servers criteria.

Procedure

To process your servers, complete the following steps.

  1. Access the Self Service.
  2. From the Self Service menu, select Environments.
  3. Select an environment.
  4. In the Server configuration tab, click Server processes.
  5. Run any of the following processes for the servers:
    Process Description
    Start servers Starts the selected servers.

    You can select the Enable verboseGC output checkbox for diagnosing issues, if any.

    You can enter the number of instances that you want to start for the agent or integration server in the Enter number of instances to start field. You can start maximum five instances at a time.
    Note: The option to start multiple instances is available only for the Preprod and Prod environment.
    Stop servers Stops the selected servers.
    Trigger agent server Triggers the agent server criteria. You must enter the Agent criteria ID and then click Submit. All the agent servers that match the criteria ID are triggered.
    Schedule servers Starts or stops the servers at the scheduled time. For more information, see Scheduling server processes on the legacy platform.
