Configuring a Java component adapter

Among other types of adapters, an adapter can be a Java component.

To configure a Java™ component adapter:

  1. If you are reconfiguring an adapter for an existing component queue, do the following steps:
    1. In the navigation pane of Process Configuration Console, open the isolated region.
    2. Right-click the component queue and click Properties….
    3. Click the Adapter tab.
  2. Click Configure. . .. This button is next to the Adapter field.
  3. In the Select a Java class window, click ... to specify a code module for the adapter. This button is next to the Code Module field.
  4. In the Select a Code Module window, do the following actions:
    1. In the Object Store field, select an object store that shares a database with the workflow system connection point.
    2. Optional: Click Other… to select an alternative folder for the code module. This button is next to the Folder Path field. The default folder is CodeModules.
    3. Select one of the following radio buttons and enter field values as indicated:

      Existing

      Select one of the existing code modules. To update the security permissions or other properties of the selected code module, click Properties.

      Name

      Enter the name for a new code module.

    4. Click Browse/Add to add one or more JAR files as content elements for the code module.
    5. Click OK.
  5. In the Select Java Class window, select a Java class from the list of classes in one of the JAR files for the code module.
  6. Click OK.
