Customizing the Alerts widget

You can customize how the Alerts widget displays read and unread alerts, the number of rows displayed, how often the data refreshes, and if situation events are displayed. Additionally, you can filter the display for specific business process models and for specific working states (such as In progress).

Procedure

To customize the Alerts widget display, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Edit Page. The widget palette opens.
  2. Select the widget menu icon and then click Edit Settings. The Alerts widget settings open to the Format tab.
  3. To choose custom font colors that indicate when alerts have and have not been read, click a color icon for Read Default color for alerts that have been read or Unread Default color for alerts that have not been read alerts, select a color from the color palette, and then click OK.
  4. To set the maximum number of rows displayed on the widget, enter a value in the Number of rows to display field. (The default value is 10 rows.)
  5. To set the refresh frequency, enter a value (in seconds) in the Refresh rate field. (The default value is 3 seconds.)
  6. To display situation events in the widget, select the Display the situation events in the events details window check box.
  7. To display alerts for specific business process models, select the check box for each model name.
  8. To display alerts in a specific working state, select the check box for the state(s). Options include: All, Available (default), In Progress (default), and Completed.
  9. To save changes, click OK.
  10. To remove alerts from being displayed in the widget, select the alerts and then click Remove.
  11. When you have finished making changes on the page, click Finish Editing.
