Upgrading Redistributable Managed File Transfer components

You can upgrade the Redistributable Managed File Transfer components by downloading a new Redistributable Managed File Transfer package.

Before you begin

For information about redistributable license terms for the Redistributable Managed File Transfer Agent and Redistributable Managed File Transfer Logger, see IBM® MQ Redistributable Components.

Note: Advanced Message Security is not supported with the Redistributable Managed File Transfer package.

About this task

If you have already installed the Redistributable Managed File Transfer components, you can upgrade them by downloading a new redistributable package and extracting the contents into the same location.

Procedure

Download the IBM MQ redistributable Managed File Transfer Agent package for your operating system from Fix Central.
Stop all Managed File Transfer agents and the logger wait for any running Managed File Transfer commands to complete.
Update the files for your existing installation of the Redistributable Managed File Transfer components by extracting the contents of the new redistributable package that you downloaded into same the directory as the one where you already have the Redistributable Managed File Transfer components installed.
