What's new in IBM MQ 9.1.1

IBM® MQ 9.1.1 delivers a number of new and enhanced features on AIX®, Linux®, Windows, and z/OS®.

The individual features provided by a CD release are stand-alone functions but may increase in capability in subsequent CD releases, enhancing earlier CD features and forming a suite of related capabilities.

New IBM MQ for Multiplatforms features

The following new features are available with both IBM MQ base product entitlement, and with IBM MQ Advanced entitlement:

• Controlling permitted CipherSpecs
• Addition of ANY_TLS12 CipherSpec
• Support for running applications on Microsoft .NET Core on Windows
• IBM MQ message-driven bean pause in WebSphere Liberty

The following new features are available only with IBM MQ Advanced entitlement:

• New REST API calls for Managed File Transfer administration

New IBM MQ for z/OS features

The following new features are available both with IBM MQ for z/OS base product entitlement, and with IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS Value Unit Edition entitlement:

• Support for using client connections with IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition
• Addition of ANY_TLS12 CipherSpec
• SECPROT attribute available on z/OS
• IBM MQ message-driven bean pause in WebSphere® Liberty

The following new features are available with IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS Value Unit Edition entitlement:

• New REST API calls for Managed File Transfer administration
