Administration using a web console

You can perform basic administration tasks by using a web console.

[V9.1.5 Apr 2020][UNIX, Linux, Windows, IBM i]From IBM® MQ 9.1.5, a new web console, known as the New Web Console, is available on IBM MQ for Multiplatforms, see Quick tour of the New Web Console. For IBM MQ Appliance and IBM MQ for z/OS®, you must continue to use the original web console, now known as the Dashboard Web Console, see The Dashboard Web Console.

You can, if you want, continue to use the Dashboard Web Console on Multiplatforms, see Switching console types on IBM MQ for Multiplatforms.

Note: Do not disable the command server on any of your queue managers when you use a web console. If the command server is disabled for a queue manager, the web console becomes unresponsive with long delays to the processing of commands. Any commands that are issued to the queue manager for which the command server is disabled time out.
