Security: password protection on client applications
From IBM® MQ 8.0, any passwords that you send using the MQCSP structure can be either protected, by using IBM MQ functionality, or encrypted, by using SSL/TLS encryption.
On z/OS®, the channel initiator address space uses the Integrated Cryptographic Service Facility (ICSF) for increased security on the password protection algorithm used with client applications.
See IBM MQ MQCSP password protection.
See Using the Integrated Cryptographic Service Facility (ICSF) for more information.
