Role of the client channel definition table

The client channel definition table (CCDT) contains definitions of client connection channels. It is particularly useful if your client applications might need to connect to a number of alternative queue managers.

The client channel definition table is created when you define a queue manager.

Note: The same file can be used by more than one IBM® MQ client. You access different versions of this file using the MQCHLLIB and MQCHLTAB IBM MQ environment variables. See Using IBM MQ environment variables for information about environment variables.
