What's new for administrators in IBM Content Navigator 3.0.10?

IBM® Content Navigator Version 3.0.10 includes the following key features:

Parameters

Configuration parameters are provided as a reference for configuring Content Manager at a general application level, or at a repository level for FileNet® P8, Content Manager, or for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office. For more information, see Configuration parameters.

Print for Merge and Split

As an administrator, you can set a print function for Merge and Split mode in the Daeja ViewONE page. This function follows the same user permission protocols and parameter settings as for the print function in the Daeja ViewONE viewer. For more information, see Printing for Merge and Split.

Microsoft Office Online is renamed

In the IBM Content Navigator documentation, Microsoft Office Online is renamed to Microsoft Office for the web. Microsoft Online Server remains unchanged.

IBM Content Navigator provides the IsDateOnly property in Content Platform Engine

As an administrator, you can set the IsDateOnly attributes on the Content Platform Engine DateTime property. If the IsDateOnly property is set to True, the value is displayed in Content Navigator with the date only. The time zone is excluded.

For more information, see Using IsDateOnly property.

Configure a list of allowed domains

As an administrator, you can create a list of domains that are allowed for use in IBM Content Navigator functions. Add the SettingsConfig property, allowedDomains, by using a command-line jvm argument -Dsettings.navigator.default=allowedDomains=domain1,domain2. Domains that are not defined are not accepted for use.

This feature applies to remote plug-in URLs and custom icon URLs.

A view-only option for documents for Navigator for Microsoft Office

You can now add a View option to the document menu. You must set the custom setting, nmoShowViewMenuOption, to true. Map the documents to the Daeja virtual viewer.

The View option opens the document by using the bookmark url. The document is not downloaded.

Allow users to send attachments

In a Desktop configuration, you can set a new Allow users to send attachments option when using the HTML-based email service.

View Full Report requirements

Line data files can be viewed as a full report by using the HTML line data viewer. Content Manager OnDemand 10.5.0.1 or later is required.

Allow users to use the desktop email client with the Edit Service client

In the Content Navigator administration desktop, in the Email settings section, you can select the option to allow users to use their desktop email client with the Edit Service client. For more information, see Configuring the desktop email client with Edit Service client.

Create a CORS file to enable scripts to interact with resources

You can define a CORS file so that scripts that run on a browser client can interact with resources from a different origin. For more information, see Configuring cross origin resource sharing (CORS).
