(V3.0.10 and later) Viewing audit history

You can view the events of a document in an IBM® FileNet® P8 repository. Before you view the audit history, make sure that the audit history configuration is done. See Configuring audit history.

Viewing event statistics counts

You can view the event statistic counts in two ways.
  • When you click a document, the document information pane on the right contains a History section, which you expand. The event counts are displayed for Get Content, Update, Update Security, and Checkin.
  • Right-click on a document. Select Properties to go to the Properties dialog. Then select the History tab. The even counts are displayed for Get Content, Update, Update Security, and Checkin.

Viewing event details

Click Show All Events to list all the events for the selected Version.

Include All Versions
  • If you select the Include All Versions checkbox,
    • All the events are retrieved for all versions, including any deleted versions.
    • Get Content is deactivated.
    • Update, Update Security, and Checkin display the total counts for all versions.
  • If you clear Include All Versions, the number of event types changes for the Filter options since some event types are not displayed for a single version. The event types are refreshed in the Filter options list.

Click Filter options to get a list of event types that you can select to filter the event types that you want to be listed. The Deletion event type is visible to select when Include All Versions is checked.

In the Show All Events view, all your selections are reset if you return to the Show Basic Events view. If you return to the Show All Events view, you need to enter your selections again for Include All Versions and the Filter options.
