Product installation can be validated using db2val command

The new db2val tool verifies the core functionality of a DB2® copy by validating the installation, instances, database creation, connections to the database and health of partitioned database environments.

This validation can be helpful if you manually deployed a DB2 copy on Linux and UNIX operating systems by using tar.gz files. The db2val command can quickly ensure that you correctly configured the copy and that the copy is what you expect it to be.
