Setting up Network Time Protocol

Ensure that all servers in a Db2® instance have similar time settings by setting up a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server and clients using chronyd (Linux only) or ntpd. Only one of ntpd or chronyd must be set up.

During instance creation and update, one of chronyd or ntpd is setup automatically if it is not already set up on the servers. If neither is setup, chronyd will be setup automatically if its package is installed; ntpd will be the alternate choice.
