The uninstallation program for DB2® Warehouse removes
everything that was installed by the installation programs for DB2 Warehouse.
You can uninstall the entire product, or you can select the individual
components that you want to uninstall.
Before you begin
You
must stop any database instances and instances of WebSphere® Application
Server that
are being used by the copy of DB2 Warehouse that
you are uninstalling, or the uninstallation might fail.
On Windows, if Cubing Services is running during
a silent uninstallation that uninstalls Cubing Services, your computer
will automatically restart after the uninstallation. To prevent your
computer from automatically restarting, you need to stop Cubing Services
before you do the silent uninstallation.
About this task
The
uninstallation program for
DB2 Warehouse uninstalls
only the components that were installed by the installation programs
for
DB2 Warehouse.
Note: The
uninstallation program does not remove the ISWarehouse directory
from the installation path. To ensure that your system is clean and
that you can reuse the installation path if you re-install the product,
you must delete the ISWarehouse directory manually
after you run the uninstallation program.
Procedure
To
uninstall DB2 Warehouse:
From the uninstall directory
for the
product, run the uninstallation program. For example,
if you installed the product in the default directory, you can run
the following command.
- On Linux and UNIX: /opt/IBM/ISWarehouse/uninstall/uninstall
- On Windows: C:\Program
Files\IBM\ISWarehouse\uninstall\uninstall.exe
Tip: To uninstall the product silently, add the following
arguments to the command: -i silent
Unless you specified a silent uninstallation, the uninstallation
wizard opens.
What to do next
After
you finish uninstalling, you can verify that it was successful by
checking the uninstallation log file.
