Removing answers to prompts

Remove answers to prompts if you want users to be prompted when they open the Microsoft Office document or when they refresh data. This ensures that report content is refreshed without the last values that were entered in the prompts.

The following procedure is performed at the report level. It affects all the answers to all the prompts in the report elements that are imported into the Microsoft Office document.

Prompt answers are also cleared when you change the gateway for a prompted report.

After removing answers to prompts, you can save the workbook, document, or presentation to IBM® Cognos® Connection in a location where other users can access the document using their own security privileges.

Procedure

  1. In the Manage Data tab, right-click a report.
  2. Click Remove Prompts.
