To get information from the chart (on the previous page), look at the top of the chart to see what the information is about. Then look along the lines at the left and the bottom to see what they show. You will see that the bottom line (called the x axis) shows the month, and the left-hand line (called the y axis) shows the hours.When you know this, you can see that Miami usually has about 8 or 9 hours per day, that Hong Kong has less sunshine, and that the amount of sunshine in Hong Kong changes a lot during these months. |
