Configuring IBM FileNet eForms for P8

The FileNet® P8 eForms application is included in the IBM® Case Manager installation. To complete the configuration, you must run the Deploy Forms Application task in IBM Case Manager administration client.

About this task

Tip: In general, FileNet P8 and IBM Case Manager are FIPS compliant. However, FileNet P8 eForms is not FIPS compliant if it calls an external data server. If FIPS compliance is required for your environment, ensure that FileNet P8 eForms does not call an external data server or use IBM Forms instead of FileNet P8 eForms.

Procedure

To complete the FileNet P8 eForms configuration:

  1. Run both the Create Case Manager Applications and Deploy Forms Application tasks in the IBM Case Manager configuration tool. In a cluster or network deployment environment, run the Create Case Manager Applications and Deploy Forms Application tasks on the deployment management server. If you are installing only FileNet P8 eForms and you are not installing IBM Forms, you do not need to run this task on the managed nodes or restart the cluster or managed nodes.
  2. If you plan to use policy-based forms, review the Form policies and follow the instructions that are provided at the following link: How FileNet P8 eForms Integrates with Workplace.
    Important: Workplace XT is required to edit a policy-based form.
