IBM Certified Containers
IBM Certified Containers are displayed in the Catalog when you filter on the IBM Cloud Paks entry. An IBM Certified Container meets the criteria for a IBM Certified Container, which are more stringent than a typical Helm chart.
An IBM Certified Container meets standard criteria for packaging and deployment of containerized software with platform integrations. The IBM Certified Container meets the following criteria:
Secured:
- Manages container image vulnerabilities
- Follows a least privilege policy, documents privileges required
- Comes from a well known and trusted source (Included in the ImagePolicy)
- Supports secure access considerations (ingress)
- Allows for control of sensitive data
Integrated:
- Deploys easily through catalog integration
- Reports usage through metering integration
- Verifies compatibility through test integration
- Provides support from cloud platform, platform services and software (for products with commercial licenses with support and subscription)
- Accelerates a client to a production topology through out-of-box integrations with additional management services
- Provides simple lifecycle operations for upgrade and rollback through integration with the platform experience, which are consistent across IBM Certified Containers

- Follows industry standard version management
- Maintains currency with platform versions
Enhanced workload availability criteria:
- Contains a production-grade topology that was written by the product experts
- Supports Kubernetes or custom application self healing and automatic failover
- Provides resiliency and scaling
