Database resources, connections, and bindings

IBM® Rational® Integration Tester can interact with any database that supports connectivity through the JDBC specification, or through COBOL DB2® program on z/OS®. These interactions can be used to extract or update data where necessary, and test data sets can be taken directly from database table content.

For database applications that use JDBC, you must ensure that the JDBC drivers used to connect to the database are configured in IBM Rational Integration Tester’s Library Manager. For more information, see Working with the Library Manager.

To provide access to a database, logical and physical resources need to be added to the IBM Rational Integration Tester project. These resources are added in the Architecture School. For more information, see Architecture School.
