Post-upgrade tasks

There are several tasks to complete after you have successfully upgraded Control Desk.

Once you have upgraded Control Desk, complete post-upgrade tasks to conclude the upgrade.

Checklist for post-upgrade tasks
Use this checklist as a guideline when you perform the post-upgrade tasks after you upgrade the product.
Programmatically verifying that the installation was successful
After you have exited the Control Desk installation program without encountering any errors, you can verify that the installation completed successfully. The installation is programmatically verified through the use of post installation validation utilities.
Reviewing your upgraded screens
If you customized any screens in Control Desk, those customizations were not retained during the upgrade process.
Reviewing table domains and crossover domains
Review all custom crossover domains and table domains. If you added or modified any crossover domains or table domains, review their WHERE clauses. Ensure that the WHERE clauses use the version 7.6 and column names.
Updating BIRT reports
The following procedures must be followed in order to update your BIRT reports for Control Desk version 7.6.
Updating statistics
In Oracle, system administration tasks include analyzing table commands. Analyze all tables to ensure that the Oracle Cost-Based Optimizer has up-to-date statistics.
