Getting started with Watson Explorer
IBM Watson® Explorer introduces components that are a natural and cumulative evolution from basic search, through advanced natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) based cognitive computing. This evolution has the goal of delivering information and business insights faster and with more accuracy.
Watson™ Explorer combines search and content analytics to help
users find and understand the unstructured information they use to work more efficiently and make
better, confident decisions at the point of impact. Watson Explorer enables:
- Cognitive exploration: Securely connect to, search, and explore all of your organization's data, regardless of format or where it is stored or managed (find what you know),
- Cognitive insights: Gain insights from unstructured dark data with advanced content analytics using hypothesis-free discovery (discover what you don’t know),
- Cognitive advice: The system provides advice in the next steps of the discovery process.
So how do you do that?
With Watson Explorer we introduce the following new
components:
- To administer your content, Watson Explorer Admin Console is intended for administrators who will create datasets and collections for the use of analysts, define annotators and classifiers, and launch crawlers to index collections.
- To mine your content Watson Explorer Content Miner is the tool analysts use to analyze and create collections.
- To build your cognitive search application, Watson Explorer oneWEX Application Builder is the tool data scientists and application developers use to create cognitive search applications.
