Security

You can administer users and groups on the Security page.

Users

There are three pre-defined users defined. These users cannot be deleted.

admin
The default administrator account.
anonymous
An account that, if enabled can use IBM Watson® Explorer Content Miner without signing on.
Applies to version 12.0.2 and subsequent versions unless specifically overridden data-explorer-admin
An account that can administer IBM Watson Explorer oneWEX Application Builder.

The following classes of users can be added by administrators..

Master administrator
These users can administer Watson™ Explorer and have complete access to all parts of Watson Explorer.
Content miner user
These users can access the Watson Explorer Content Miner. Applies to version 12.0.2 and subsequent versions unless specifically overridden They can also run applications created in Watson Explorer oneWEX Application Builder.
Applies to version 12.0.2 and subsequent versions unless specifically overridden AppBuilder tool administrator
These users can access the Watson Explorer oneWEX Application Builder.
Applies to version 12.0.2 and subsequent versions unless specifically overridden AppBuilder application user
These users can run applications created in Watson Explorer oneWEX Application Builder.

Master administrators can add, modify, and delete users. They can also enable users who have been created on the Sign up page.

Groups

You can use groups to restrict access to collections to particular content miner users. There are also two builtin groups.

everyone
This groups contains all users.
nobody
This group contains no users.

You can create groups. When you create a group, you specify which users are members of the group. You can then specify which collections can be accessed by the group members. Group member can only access collections in the Accessible pane on the Collections page of their group.
