Dataset field mappings
You can modify all the data source fields and the dataset fields. User can create mappings from data source fields to dataset fields.
There are two tabs available on the Field mappings page.
- Map source fields to dataset
- This tab displays the native data source fields and provides the ability to modify the dataset field mapping.
- Review dataset fields
- This tab displays the dataset fields with the data source fields that are mapped to them.
After you have updated the field mappings, click Save and run the crawler to reflect the changes.
Map source fields to dataset
The table contains the follow items.
- DATA SOURCE
- This the data source in the form
[crawler-name] - [crawlspace-name]
for crawlers and[importer-name]
for importers. - FIELD
- This is the data source field name, or. native field name. This field names are obtained by crawlers and vary depending on the crawler type and actual contents.
- MAPPED DATASET FIELD
- This shows the currently mapped dataset field. It can be modified by selecting another dataset field from the drop-down list. You can select Unmap from the list to remove the mapping. To modify an existing mapping, click Edit... You can now modify the field name and type. To change the mapped dataset field, select a new dataset field from the drop-down list.
- ACTIONS
- You can add and delete data source fields.
- Adding a data source field
- To add a new data source field, click and then click Add data source field. Specify the crawl space, field name, and type, and then click Save. Select the mapped dataset field from the drop-down list.
- Deleting a data source field
- To delete an existing data source field, click and then click Delete data source field.
Review dataset fields
The table contains the follow items.
- Dataset field
- The dataset field name.
- Type
- The dataset field type.

- The data source field.
- ACTIONS
- You can add, edit, and delete dataset fields.
