Like any enterprise software package, Watson™ Explorer and its components need to be integrated into your IT group's policies and procedures. Watson Explorer enables you to create and integrate 360-degree information applications that are corporate and business assets and which therefore typically require high availability. The applications must start and stop automatically as part of the boot and shutdown processes on designated systems, the configuration information and (often) data for these applications must be integrated into standard procedures such as backups, the data that is created and used by these applications much be protected from automated anti-virus and anti-malware scanning, and so on. The following sections discuss how system administrators and integrators can integrate Watson Explorer and its components into their application and enterprise IT procedures.
