Configuring Directory Assistance on a Quickr for Domino server

If you plan to configure a Quickr for Domino crawler to use an LDAP directory for implementing security, you must create a Directory Assistance database on the Lotus® Quickr® for Domino® server before you configure the crawler.

Before you begin

The server that you want to crawl must be running the DIIOP and HTTP tasks.

Procedure

To configure LDAP Directory Assistance on a Quickr for Domino server:

  1. Create a Directory Assistance database:
    1. Open the Server document on the Quickr for Domino server.
    2. Create a database by using the Directory Assistance(6) template.
This template is on the server.
    3. Click Add Directory Assistance to create a document in the database.
    4. Open the Basic tab and, in the DomainType field, select LDAP.
    5. Open the Naming Contexts tab and ensure that the Trusted for credentials check box is selected.
    6. Open the LDAP tab and specify information about the LDAP server.
    7. Save and close the Server document.
  2. Configure the Quickr for Domino server to use the Directory Assistance database:
    1. Open the Server document on the Quickr for Domino server.
    2. Open the Basic tab and, in the Directory assistance database name field, specify the name of the database that you created in step 1.
    3. Save and close the Server document.

The Quickr for Domino server can now use the LDAP server as a secondary Domino directory.
