You can configure the system to support single sign-on
(SSO) authentication for secure search of IBM® FileNet P8 documents.
Procedure
Configuring the system to support secure search through
SSO authentication involves the following steps:
- Deploy the target FileNet P8 Content Engine data source on a WebSphere® Application
Server server.
- Ensure that cookie-based application SSO (LTPA token-based
application SSO) is configured correctly between the FileNet P8 and Watson Explorer Content Analytics application servers. Verify
that when you move from one application to the other in your web browser
that you are not prompted to log in.
- Deploy the ES P8 Services remote server module on the FileNet P8 server.
This
module is provided by provided by Watson Explorer Content Analytics.
- Configure the crawler server before you create a FileNet P8 crawler.
Install
the FileNet P8Content Engine Client on the crawler server.
You must also run a setup script, escrfilenet,
on the crawler server. This script is provided by Watson Explorer Content Analytics.
- Create a FileNet P8 crawler
and configure the crawler to support secure search through SSO authentication:
- Select the Enable SSO authentication check
box when you configure advanced options in the crawler properties.
- In most cases, leave the text box for the remote service
URL blank.
You cannot change the SSO configuration settings after the crawler
is created.
