Testing the events flow in Acoustic Exchange

Test the Acoustic Exchange events flow to ensure that required events are received by Acoustic Personalization for personalization.

Prerequisites

You must register the Acoustic Exchange Test Drive Destination as an endpoint in Acoustic Exchange.
  1. In Acoustic Exchange, go to Endpoints tab.
  2. Click Register a new endpoint.
  3. Search and select Acoustic Exchange Test Drive Destination.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Register. A message appears: Thanks! We got it.
  6. Click Close. Application is displayed in the list with Status as Pending.
  7. Refresh the page or check the page after few minutes to see whether the endpoint is enabled.
Repeat these steps for Acoustic Exchange Test Drive Publisher, if it is not already registered as an endpoint in Acoustic Exchange.

Testing the events flow using Acoustic Exchange Test Drive

To test the events flow in Acoustic Exchange, perform the following steps:
  1. Log in to Acoustic Exchange.
  2. Go to Events tab and click Subscribe to events.
  3. Select the events that you want to subscribe to.
  4. Select the required personalization events from Real-Time Personalization Publisher.
  5. Select Destination as Acoustic Exchange Test Drive.
  6. Click Subscribe.
  7. Using the menu, go to Test Drive Acoustic Exchange.
  8. In Test Drive Acoustic Exchange page, go to the Test event destination tab.
  9. Trigger some events on your channel.
  10. Verify that the events triggered on your channel are seen in the Test event destination tab.
