Customizing the RQA scoring model

As an administrator, you can customize the scoring model for requirements analysis to meet the needs of your company.

About this task

As an administrator, you can change the default points to deduct for an issue. For example, in your industry you might want to give more or less weight to escape clauses in requirements. If you want to exclude any issues from the analysis, you can change the setting to Ignore.

Procedure

  1. On the RQA dashboard, go to the Configure tab.
  2. On the Scores tab, click the Edit icon (Edit icon).
  3. Change the number of points to deduct for an issue. Enter a value in the range 0 - 100.
  4. Optional: To exclude an issue from the analysis, turn on the Ignore setting.
  5. Click Save to enable your changes.

  6. Notify the users about the change. Ask them to log out of RQA and log in again to enable the new scoring model.

If users don’t log out and log in again, they continue to use the default scoring model for the requirements analysis. If they already checked some requirements with the old scoring model, they might want to run the analysis again by using the new scores.

Results

Now, the scoring model matches your business needs. When the users log in, they can check the requirements with the new scoring model.
