Modifying an existing parameter

About this task

To modify a parameter in the agent parameter file, do the following steps:

Open the agent parameter file in a standard text editor.
Substitute the original value with your new value for the parameter that you want to modify.
Remember: The parameter value must be enclosed in a set of double quotation marks (" ").
Save and close the parameter file.

Example:

Original parameter:

defaultStatisticInterval="original_value"

Modified parameter:

defaultStatisticInterval="new_value"
