Supporting diagnostics

You can use diagnostic utilities to diagnose adapter problems.

Adapter diagnostics can be performed by downloading diagnostic utilities from vendor websites or by using Linux operating system utilities. For a list of vendor websites, refer to Table 1. For more information about vendor adapter diagnostics and Linux operating system utilities, see the IBM® Power® LC readme.

Note: The 5104-22C, 9006-12P, 9006-22C, and 9006-22P systems do not have a diagnostics DVD.

Supermicro See the system readme file for information about diagnostic utilities. To view the system readme file, complete the following steps:
  1. Go to the Fix Central website.
  2. Click the Find product tab.
  3. Type your Machine Type-Model in the Product selector field.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to view the system readme file.
