You might need to remove and replace the Slimline media device
to replace a failed device or as a part of another service task. Use the instructions
in this section to accomplish this task.
The following procedure describes the removal and replacement of the Slimline
media device.
Note: - Slimline media devices cannot be removed or replaced with the system power
on.
- The device enclosure for the control panel and the media device does not
need to be removed if you are replacing only the Slimline media device or
filler.
- If you are replacing the control panel in addition to the Slimline media
device, the control panel must be removed as part of the device enclosure.
To remove the enclosure, complete the steps in Model 51x and 710 control panels.
