Managing consoles, interfaces, and terminals

In the IBM® Systems and eServer™ environment, hardware and software are sometimes managed separately. In some instances, you might need one device to manage hardware and another device to manage software. In other instances, you can use the same console to manage hardware and software.

First, determine which consoles, interfaces, and terminals complement your server solution. Then, install, configure, and manage your consoles, interfaces, and terminals. Finally, as your server environment evolves, change your configuration of consoles, interfaces, and terminals to complement your server environment.
