Port configuration for smcli

By default, smcli uses port 2044 to communicate with the IBM® Flex System Manager. You can optionally configure the port.

To configure the port, create in the home directory on the management server a file named smcliconfig.prop with the necessary level of access protection. This file contains the port attribute, using the following format:

port=port_number

Create smcliconfig.prop in the appropriate home directory location for your operating system:

On Windows, create smcliconfig.prop in My Documents.
On AIX® or Linux, create smcliconfig.prop in /root/.
